We'd say both, but in a good way. Our AI is trained to write warm, witty humor — think gently roasting your buddy rather than a corporate joke book. That said, comedy is personal, which is why we let you steer the tone when you order.

Plucky Books is a new brand created by the same folks who make Wonderbly and Historic Newspapers. We’re a team of over 100 editors, designers, coders, marketers and operations folks based in London. Over the past ten years we’ve made and shipped over 14 million books around the world.

Just fill in the short personalization form with the details about your recipient, upload a photo, choose a cover and format, and checkout. It takes about five minutes.

You can preview the cover, back cover and chapter list but the core text content of the book is only written after you place your order.

There is no formal age restriction but Plucky books are written by adults for adults and some books will contain mild adult humor.

Every Plucky book is written and put together just for you, so it needs a little time before it heads out the door. Dispatch usually takes 2-3 days.

Once it's left us, shipping time gets added on top of that, and how long that takes depends on where you're sending it.

Currently, we ship to UK, US and AUS only.

We'd recommend ordering at least 10 days before you need it to be safe, especially around busy periods like Christmas.

Yes. These are proper books and are made in the same factories with the same papers and materials that manufacture millions of premium Wonderbly and Historic Newspaper books every year. They're printed on quality paper and you can choose softback or hardback at checkout. They look great on a shelf and hold up to being read (and re-read).

If there's a printing error or the book arrives damaged, we'll replace it at no charge as quickly as possible. If you don’t like the content of the book we will refund you, no questions asked. 

The details you share are used solely to generate your book. We store this data on our secure servers for 30 days after you order after which it is deleted automatically. We don't sell your data or use it for marketing purposes. See our full privacy policy for details.
